Thomas Wright
Professor, Department of History

 
Thomas Wright received his Ph.D. in History from the University of California Berkeley.  He teaches Latin American studies, including the history of Mexico, the Mexican Revolution, and the history of the Andean region.  His publications include Flight from Chile: Voices of Exile, co-authored with Rody Onata (U of New Mexico Press, 1998); Latin America in the Era of the Cuban Revolution (Praeger, 1991 & 2000); Food, Politics, and Society in Latin America, co-edited with John C. Super (U of Nebraska Press, 1985); and Landowners and Reform in Chile: The Sociedad Nacional de Agricultura, 1919-1940 (U of Illinois Press, 1982).  Dr. Wright's newest book State Terrorism in Latin America: Chile, Argentina, and International Human Rights (Rowman & Littlefield, 2007) was published in April 2007.
