Deborah Arteaga
Associate Professor, Foreign Languages UNLV

 
Deborah Arteaga received her Ph.D. from the University of Washington in Romance Linguistics.  Her research interests include second language acquisition and diachronic French syntax.  She teaches a variety of undergraduate linguistics courses for Foreign Language majors and other students who have taken two years of university-level classes in Romance languages or German.  She also teaches graduate-level Hispanic linguistics and second language acquisition for the Spanish M.A. program and the Graduate Certificate in Spanish Translation.  She is the recipient of both the Rita Deanin Abbey Teacher of the Year Award and the University Distinguished Teaching Award.
