The Writing Center is sponsored by both the College of Liberal Arts and the English department. Consultants, usually English graduate students and instructors, assist students, staff, and faculty with any stage of the writing process, from generating ideas to polishing final drafts. The Writing Center is not a proofreading service. The center teaches writers how to make positive changes in their writing skills and how to diagnose and correct their own writing problems.
