Gay Sessums joined the Women's Studies Department as its first full-time Administrative Assistant in 2004, the same year she completed her BA in Philosophy as a non-traditional student at UNLV. She believes that as long as women continue to carry pepper spray, Women's Studies' work remains to be done.
