History
Career Options for History Majors

History is the study of the research of events of the past. Normally divided into ancient, medieval, or modern, it studies social, political, cultural, and economic forces in an effort to preserve, understand, appreciate, and learn from, the past.

The following job titles are related to the field of History. Some may require study beyond the Bachelor of Arts level. This is not a complete list of possible careers for History graduates, but simply provides suggestions of potential career options. (Phifer, 1987)
