Short Biography:

Professor Maria Marinch is a Visiting Professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and teaches translation, Spanish for Business and other advanced courses. She has more than 18 years of experience in languages, marketing, public relations and community outreach and is considered to be an expert on communicating with Hispanic audiences.

Her research interests include advertising and creative translation, translation loss through semantic associative meaning and the concept of translation as a tool for cultural infiltration.

Professor Marinch holds a Master of Arts in Spanish Literature, Latin American Culture and Translation Theory, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Marketing from UNLV.
